About this policy

Origin Mixed Martial Arts ("Origin MMA", "we", "us") runs martial arts classes for kids and adults in Gladesville, NSW. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share your personal information, including when you enquire through our website or a Facebook or Instagram form.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.

• Details about your child: their first name and age, so we can place them in the right class.

• Enquiry details: which classes you are interested in and any notes you give us.

• Health and safety information: injuries or medical conditions you choose to tell us about before training, used only to keep participants safe.

• Website and advertising data: information collected by cookies and the Meta Pixel, such as pages visited and whether you submitted a form. This does not identify you by name on its own.

 

How we collect it

• When you fill in a form on Facebook or Instagram (Meta lead forms). Meta may prefill some fields from your profile, and you can edit them before you submit.

• When you fill in a form on our website.

• When you call, email, message us or visit the gym.

• Through cookies and the Meta Pixel when you visit our website.

 

How we use and share it

We use your information to:

• contact you about your enquiry and book a free trial

• run classes, manage memberships and take payments

• send you updates and offers, if you have agreed to receive them

• measure and improve our advertising

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with:

• Service providers who help us run the business, such as our booking, membership, payment and email tools. They may only use it to provide their service to us.

• Meta Platforms, which processes form submissions and Pixel data under its own Privacy Policy.

• Anyone else the law requires, or where you have agreed.

 

Children's information

We collect information about children only from their parent or guardian. Our ads and forms are aimed at adults. We ask only for what we need to place a child in a suitable class and keep them safe, and we never use it for marketing to the child.

Storage and security

 

We store your information in secure, password-protected systems and limit access to staff who need it. We delete or de-identify information we no longer need.

Some of our service providers, including Meta, store data overseas, for example in the United States and Ireland. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to Australian law.

 

Your choices and how to contact us

• Access or correction: ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or to fix anything that is wrong.

• Opting out: use the unsubscribe link in any email or text, or tell us you no longer want to hear from us.

• Deletion: ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it by law.
